Our Fleet
We have a small fleet of four fantastic helicopters including three Airbus H125s and a MD520N. All aircraft are maintained to high standards.
We use modern technology, which includes equipping all our aircraft with V2Track systems that use satellite tracking technology so ground staff are in contact with our aircraft and pilots at all times.
Some of our fleet are also fitted with Eye In The Sky cameras.
Airbus Helicopters H125
Glacier Country Helicopters operates three blue H125 Helicopters (previously known as AS350 B2 squirrels).
They have leather interiors and comfortable passenger seats, flying up to 6 passengers each. Their large windows are perfect for your scenic flight and photo opportunities. They are the most popular/widely operated passenger machine in the world.
They are versatile and excellent for operating in our unique mountain environment being the most powerful helicopter in our fleet.
McDonnell Douglas MD520 Notar
The MD520N seats up to 4 passengers and is a pilot favourite to fly. Commonly known as the “Notar” this stands for ‘no tail rotor’ as it has an alternative tail rotor design with a proven safety margin.
This helicopter is used for a lot of our commercial work due to its ability to get into smaller areas and power to size ratio.
It has the smallest interior of our three machine types so is often used for families and 1-3 person private charters.
